Daniel Waterhouse was educated in the fine schools of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and there he discovered his love for music in the Boston scene. He found a long neglected, cheap acoustic guitar in the family attic, learned a few open chords, and thus his career as singer / songwriter / guitar player was launched.

However, the circuitous route between here and there passed through Africa and Europe and zig-zagged across the USA. Along the way there were a wide variety of formative life experiences including a brief career in Economics / Finance and playing in a bunch of bands … which improved his musicianship, songwriting, and understanding of music theory. He also had to learn a bit about engineering (as many band leaders in DIY projects learn quickly).

In 2016, he decided to get serious about recording his own songs the way he heard them in his head. Thus, he sharpened his engineering and production skills, and then built a recording studio in a barn-like building on his property in Vermont. Soon thereafter, he released his debut solo record “Feng-Shui Croquet” to worldwide acclaim punctuated by a spectacular pyrotechnics display and a ticker tape parade. A follow up record is well underway and due to be released in 2023.

Presently, Mr. Waterhouse has suspended his performing schedule, and is hunkered down in a remote location putting the finishing touches on his debut novel “Bulletin Boarders.” Please find the bookjacket description on the tab at the top of this page
